Greetings to You!
“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”—Romans 1:7b (ESV)
It is with great joy and anticipation that I greet you! As pastor of St. Paul's, I am pleased to extend a warm invitation to come and share in the faith and love of our church family. You and I are both aware that we live in a rapidly changing world full of human struggles and stress that will continue to afflict us in the coming years. In such an atmosphere, we all long to discover the true, deeper meaning of life.
St. Paul's church is a place of refuge in a fast paced world. Here you will experience meaningful worship that will weekly bring new focus to your life. Here your children will be trained in the Evangelical faith, and the young people in your family will be welcomed into a Christ-centered youth program. Here you will be challenged to know Jesus personally and to discover, develop and use your spiritual gifts. Here you will experience the love of a Christian family that will make every effort to be there for you in your time of need.
I encourage you to worship with us regularly and to consider membership at St. Paul's! New Member Classes are offered several times each year. May God's Spirit lead and guide you as you consider your role in church life at St. Paul's!
In Christ's love,
A. Mark Friz,
Senior PastorWorship Services
“But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy.”—Psalms 5:11a (ESV)At St. Paul's worship services you will find a peace that will help sustain you. St. Paul's offers both traditional and contemporary worship services, allowing those attending to worship God in the way they are most comfortable to do so. The 8:30 traditional service typically includes hymns and choir anthems accompanied by the organ. For those who prefer a worship band, the "celebration service," led by our pastor of youth and celebration worship, Greg Volpitto, offers contemporary praise music and a more casual feel. Whether you choose to attend the traditional or the contemporary service you will find a joyful singing to the Lord and a loving church family.
At both services, our pastors are dedicated to providing interesting, Biblically focused sermons. You can get a taste of the messages delivered each week at St. Paul's by visiting our sermon archive, where you can listen to previous sermons.
Besides the church services here at St. Paul's, you will find a number of different Sunday school classes for children and adults. We would consider it an honor for you to join us as we worship our Lord and King.
Ministries & Service at St. Paul's
“You are the light of the world [...] let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”—Matthew 5:14-15 (ESV)We are so very blessed here at St. Paul's and part of our blessings would be the different ministries and groups that can be found here that serve those in need in our congregation, our community and the world. There are ministries in everything from classes for children and adults, small group Bible studies, again for youth or adults, music ministries that include choirs of different types, bell ringers, and even an orchestra and band.
We have a telephone ministry that checks on our members, a prayer ministry to pray for our members, their families and their friends. There are programs here that reach out to our neighboring communities such as the "blanket" ministry which gathers blankets for those who need them and even a sandwich ministry to deliver a sandwich to someone who might be hungry. We have a missionary ministry for those outside of our country in the far corners of out world.
In a ministry of food, you can find sausage and roast beef suppers, lunchens of different types, meals for grieving St. Paul's members and meal delivery for those here who are for some reason unable to fix a meal. Please consider joining us as we participate in the work of God. Together we can enjoy the fellowship of serving each other and work towards the spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in both word and deed.
What We Believe
“Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us.”—2 Corinthians 1:21 (NIV)St. Paul's is rooted in the foundation of Scripture, affirming the essential teachings of God's Word through the traditional creeds of the Christian Church. We affirm the the Apostle's Creed and take time to recite it as a congregation most Sundays to remind us of the basics of our faith. We also affirm the Nicene Creed.
St. Paul's has a long and interesting heritage and as part of the patchwork of that heritage we are now affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA). As part of the EFCA, we also affirm the Free Church's statement of faith. St. Paul's and the EFCA share a commitment to the fundamental principle that came out of the German Evangelical church from which St. Paul's originated over 160 years ago, "In essentials unity. In non-essentials, liberty. In all things, Jesus Christ."
You can find all of the creeds and statements that St. Paul's affirms on our Statements of Faith page.
