Connection MinistriesMembers who work on these committees are ambassadors reaching out to people for Christ. This team provides an always friendly welcome to visitors and members, with outreach programs for the church, and news releases about events that are being held at our church to the media. This ministry also plans many events aimed at furthering the Kingdom of God.

Ushers
Members of the usher team are people who are interested in helping others as they facilitate routine jobs associated with the church worship time. Ushers teams serve for one month, every five months. If you have an attitude of warmth and friendliness and share our vision for a hospitable church, please call us to find out about training for worship services and emergency situations. Greeters
The first impression of anything we see or do is often the most imortant in forming an opinion in our minds and minds of others. Greeters are the first friendly faces people see as they enter St. Paul’s. Greeters welcome everyone to our worship services with a smile and a handshake. They answer questions, direct people to areas to help serve their needs, and introduce them to church members who have similar interests. Contact: Carolyn Samuels, 314-434-2489.
Hosts
Greet all first-time visitors at the end of each church service, they provide the visitor with information about St. Paul’s and find out how we can best serve them and hopefully to make someone who is visiting our church feel welcome and wanting to come again. Welcomers
Welcomers can be found at the Information Booth in our Welcome Center, they assist visitors and provide helpful information and directions if needed to places around our builidng ; they extend hospitality to all. Contact: Edith Skaggs, 636-677-2720.
Church Pew Pocket Maintenance
A quiet but much need ministry at St. Paul’s. Everytime you look in front of you as you sit in the pew, you will see the work of this ministry, which replenishes and straightens everything from the sharpened pencil to the informational leaflets. Contact: Ted Shockley, 636-532-3707.
Visitor Follow-up
Each week, those attending our church record their names and a bit of information in our Record of Fellowship. Volunteers look over those pages and enlist the help of homemade jam delivers to welcome those who have visited our church with a small “taste” of St. Paul’s. Hopefully by receiving this jam they will feel welcomed. Contact: Dorothy Tackes, 314-727-4558.

Communication
A group of members who have a gift of clear communication and apply their gift to help with the preparation of church announcements and news releases. Contact: Edith Skaggs, 636-677-2720.
Outdoor Directory and Signs
Ever wonder who changes the signs around the church? You could be one of the mystery people on this team. Contact: Jannet Dieckgraefe, 314-993-0015.

Event planners and special outreach coodinators. Ccntact: Ted Shockley, 636-532-3707.
Newcomers Meeting
All visitors who are interested in becoming a member of St. Paul’s need to attend a day of information about what we are all about. The people on this team help to plan, publicize, and prepare the needed materials for this meeting. The team also works with the pastors on setting up meetings for the newcomers to visit with the Spiritual Council, to find sponsors for them, and to actually plan the exciting date for joining the church.
